My wife Trina and I have spent over a decade in the wine industry, driven by a deep love for the craft and the community that surrounds it. I’ve had the privilege of learning from my mentor, Rick Buffington of Cougar Winery, where I am currently the Assistant Winemaker. Rick and Jen built their winery from the ground up—starting in their garage in Fallbrook—proving that passion and determination can create something extraordinary. Their dedication to rare Italian varietals and their status as some of the last owner-winemakers on the De Portola Wine Trail inspire me daily. It’s an honor to work alongside them, carrying forward the spirit of independence, craftsmanship, and hard work.
Through the tight-knit Temecula Valley wine community, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with incredible people who believe in lifting each other up. I’ve experimented with meads, wines, and beer—fermentation in all its forms fascinates me.
With Outlaw Wine Company, I want to challenge the status quo. My goal is to rescue fruit that would otherwise be lost and turn it into something extraordinary. This isn’t just about making wine; it’s about building a movement—one that embraces sustainability, creativity, and community. If you believe in pushing boundaries, supporting local growers, and rethinking what wine can be, I’d love to connect. Let’s break the rules, make something meaningful, and change the industry together.
